INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups cake flour
  • 10g instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • cups warm water
  • 3 Tbsp chutney
  • 200g grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs
  • Salt for seasoning
  • Hinds Spices Pure Black Pepper for Seasoning

METHOD

  • Sift the cake flour then add the yeast, salt and sugar. Add to the warm water and mix to form a dough. Knead and set aside. Divide into 8 balls and shape into small rolls.
  • Braai for 5 minutes on each side or until golden and cooked through.
  • Cut the braai broodjies in half, spread one half with chutney, top with cheese, a slice of onion and tomato. Sprinkle over Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs and season with salt and pepper. Braai for further 5-10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
